ABOUT
Autism on the Water is a charity that aims to increase awareness of the autistic spectrum through sailing and boating and provide opportunities on the water completely for FREE!

Set up by autistic sailor Murray MacDonald in 2016, the charity has gone from strength to strength over the years gaining significant recognition across the UK and further afield and has helped overall since its inception over 1,000 people with autism get out on the water.
Meet our Team
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
Autism on the Water is managed and run by a group of experienced and professional individuals who's aim is to ensure we can always provide free of charge sailing to people with autism.
Mission
The mission is very simple - go sailing with autism! Untie the boat and off we go!
However, some may sit and think "och no it will cost like 20 quid a session" WRONG ANSWER!
Our primary mission is to provide everything we do completely free of charge - whether its a community sailing session or a trip on the canal or a open day - we don't charge a single penny.
Everyone on the autistic spectrum plus their carers and families including their brothers and sisters are welcome. All ages are welcome but we recommend the minimum age of 5 but will welcome younger!
Vision
From Edinburgh to Helensburgh, Lossiemouth, Oban, Crinan, Hamble, Cowes, Portsmouth, London and beyond - our vision is simply to fill the gaps where people with autism are wanting to get out on the water and feel the magic of its benefits.

We want to change and expand the role that autistic people play in the world of sailing

We're the only known charity in the UK that provides this vision - the next aim is the world!
